In order to prevent shopping cart abandonment, the solution aims to improve the online shopping experience while taking human aspects into account. This is achieved by creating a user experience that lowers delivery costs, which are the main causes of shopping cart abandonment

My process

User flows

By creating user flows, there was a clear understanding of how the user would access the application and engage with the functionality in place of adding the extension where they will be able to adjust and customise the size of their packaging based on the item.

Low-fidelity wireframes

Creating low-fidelity wireframes gave an idea of the placement of the components within the application and a rough idea of how the custom-sized packaging functionality will work.

The final outcome

Taking into consideration all of the research and analysis that had been carried out, the solution aims to enhance the overall shopping experience by offering users an opportunity to tailor their packaging according to the size of the item. Additionally, it seeks to reduce the amount of shopping cart abandonment.

The extension is intended for e-commerce applications. The user is asked if they want to add the Custom-sized packaging extension to the Oneque platform.

The user is able to customise the size of the packaging at this stage simply by dragging the box to fit the item. They can then proceed to checkout and have full visibility of the amount of money they have saved.
